WHILE AT WAM:

I coordinated the exhibition The Beautiful Brain: The Drawings of Santiago Ramón y Cajal by guiding and supporting the production process of exhibition labels, printed vinyls, and installation and continued this work for the summer of 2017 exhibition of A Culture of Pots: The 25th Anniversary of the St. Croix Valley Pottery Tour. I was a teaching assistant for “Museum Practices,” a course led by Lyndel King. I also supported the accessions committee meetings as a researcher and secretary and wrote the article Focus on the Collection: Tishan Hsu’s Liquid Circuit for the WAM newsletter.

WHERE ARE YOU NOW:

In the year following her fellowship, Laura Moran transitioned into a communications role at Artspace Projects Inc., a non-profit property developer that builds affordable housing for artists across the country. This work allows her to connect emerging artists to low-cost art opportunities, which in turn, fosters artist stability and greater creation. Laura also served on the Board of Directors at the Cycling Museum of Minnesota and chaired the Collections and Exhibitions Committee, where she spearheaded the upcoming exhibition LifeCYCLE: Stories from the Minnesota Bike Community.
